Kanga Qualities
At Kanga, our mission is to help children become the very best they can be physically, mentally and socially. We believe sport is about more than being active. It's a chance for children to build confidence, develop resilience, make friends and learn valuable life skills.
That's why we encourage the Kanga Qualities, a set of positive behaviours that help children thrive both in sport and beyond. Throughout our sessions, our coaches celebrate these qualities so children learn that how they play is just as important as the result.
Children who consistently demonstrate the Kanga Qualities can be recognised during holiday clubs or extracurricular clubs with one of our Kanga Qualities badges, and work towards becoming a Kanga Legend.
Sportsmanship
You play fair, cheer everyone on, and show respect on and off the field. True sportsmanship means winning with humility and losing with grace.
Respect
You treat coaches, teammates, opponents and yourself with kindness and consideration. Respect makes every game better for everyone.
Good Listener
You focus, pay attention, and follow instructions carefully. Being a good listener helps you learn new skills and support your team.
Happy Helper
You love lending a hand, whether it's picking up equipment, encouraging a teammate, or making sure everyone feels included.
Kind Kid
You show kindness every day through your words and actions. Small acts of kindness makes a big difference to those around you.
Leader in Training
You inspire and guide others with a positive attitude. Leaders in training help their teammates stay motivated and work together.
Resilient
