After School Clubs
The Upper Wharfedale
Primary Federation
Kanga Sports provides after school sports clubs for children attending the Upper Wharfedale Primary Federation, giving pupils the chance to stay active, develop skills and enjoy time with friends in a fun and supportive environment.

Our clubs run Monday to Friday at Grassington Primary School and are open to children from:
Burnsall CE (VA) Primary School
Cracoe & Rylstone CE (VC) Primary School
Grassington CE (VC) Primary School
Kettlewell Primary School
Children attending federation schools outside Grassington will be transported to Grassington Primary School at the end of the school day, making it easy for families across Upper Wharfedale to access high-quality after school childcare and sports provision.

We are Ofsted registered (Provider name: Kanga Kare UWF), so parents can also pay using Tax-Free Childcare, childcare vouchers or other government childcare schemes.

Tuesday: Balloon Volleyball or Build It! Lego + Structures (STEM Activities)
Wednesday: Aerobic Dances or Chinese New Year + Healthy Eating
Thursday: UV Dodgeball or Communication + Confidence
FUN Friday: Gagaball or Games & Feel Good Friday Activities

Weekly Sports Club Timetable
Each day focuses on a different sport, helping children build confidence, teamwork and new skills while staying active after school.
Timetable for Summer 2 (April - May 2026)
Monday - Rounders
Tuesday - Cricket
Wednesday - Football
Thursday - Dodgeball
FUN FRIDAY

Clubs run from the end of the school day until 5:00pm at Grassington Primary School.
Fridays will continue as Film Club for the time being.

Costs
Sports Club (until 5:00pm)
£5.50 per session
Late Collection Option (5:00pm – 6:00pm)
£4.50 additional
Includes a snack and drink

Snacks
Previously, children received food on arrival when attending wraparound care.
With the new sports club structure:
Snacks will not be provided before 5:00pm
Children staying for the late collection option will receive a snack and drink
​
Parent Collection
Sports clubs finish at 5:00pm for children not attending the late collection option.
To allow sessions to run smoothly and ensure children can fully enjoy their activities, we kindly discourage collection before 5:00pm where possible.

Transport Across the Federation
Children attending Cracoe & Rylstone, Burnsall and Kettlewell Primary Schools will be transported to Grassington Primary School at the end of the school day.
Booking your child onto the club secures their place on transport, but places are limited so advance booking is recommended.

Alternative Activity Option
We understand that sports clubs are not for everyone.
Alongside the sports sessions, we also run alternative activities, allowing children to relax, socialise and enjoy their time after school in a way that suits them.
